Growing up with Cerebral Palsy and navigating a trauma-heavy life hasn’t been easy, but words gave me something nothing else could: power. My poetry isn’t sugar-coated. It’s dark, intense, and real — just like life. And while it may be uncomfortable for some, it’s everything to me. Writing is more than just my outlet — it’s my survival.

I often describe myself as a pink girl in a black world. That phrase captures the contrast of how I feel inside versus what life has thrown at me. Through every heartbreak, through every silent moment of pain — I’ve written. My work reflects not just my story, but the emotional chaos many of us carry and never voice. I am proud to be part of the growing movement of female poets with lived experience, women who speak honestly about mental health, disability, trauma, and survival.
